We are very happy to share that Cinta, Ochre, Arto and Harapi are LOVING the Baby House!
The Baby House was officially open for business in November 2024, with Arto and Harapi the first to move in. They have since been joined by Cinta and Ochre, and the awesome foursome is settling in very well to the new space.
All four youngsters are thriving in Jungle School, working hard to build up their jungle skills together. When the weather is gloomy or the babysitters are busy preparing meals, the little ones head into the Baby House, and enjoy climbing, exploring, and playing on the equipment.
Cinta is proving to be an excellent role model to her orangutan pals, as she’s very fond of building nests in the nesting pods. She uses the morning and afternoon browse enrichment to build her cosy nests, where she then loves to sleep at night.
The three boys however, are still loving their sacks and blankets, and prefer to sleep on the floor! The babysitters are encouraging the boys to follow Cinta’s lead and build their nests up high. But Arto especially has other ideas! He loves to drag the nesting materials back down to the floor before settling in for the night.
Thank you so much to our amazing community of wildlife champions for helping bring the Baby House to life. We are so excited to see how these little adventurers adapt and grow in their new space. And we look forward to sharing more updates with you! 🧡
